Shalom, My name is Stan Kanner. I am the teacher of this course. My
assistant is Deva Solomon. This course was developed by Avital Beiler. Tali
(Avital) graduated from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, majoring in
Linguistics. She is a native Hebrew speaker. The voice that you hear throughout
this course is hers. The course is designed to teach the Alephbet (Hebrew
Alphabet), along with some simple vocabulary. It is the hope that upon
completion of this course the student will be able to read Hebrew. Future
courses will cover comprehension, and conversational Hebrew. This is a
completely secular course with no religous overtones.
Special thanks to
the people at http://www.mechon-mamre.org for the use
of the Hebrew Keyboard.
This program requires that
you use a fairly new browser. To see if you have a the right browser, click on
lesson one, and then click on some of the keys on the keyboard. If they come up
across the bottom form in Hebrew, you are okay. If not please udate your browser
with the new internet explorer. |
