Hi, I am Amber, your teacher for this course. This course focuses on building your tools for writing correct sentences. I am here to help you learn those tools. If you have any questions or problems, let me know! I am happy to help you.
This grammar course might be different from other grammar courses you have taken in the past. This course is based on the belief that you are very intelligent and that you have a natural ability to think and learn. The first reading assignment in lesson 1 is called "How the brain learns." It will explain why you are intelligent and a natural learner.
People learn what they practice. If you want to learn how to express your ideas in sentences with correct grammar, you will need to practice doing it; that is why you will be writing a lot in this course. This course will help you step by step all along the way to learn how to express your ideas in sentences with correct grammar.
Some people learn certain things quickly, and other people learn things more slowly. However, people can learn just about anything they want if they are willing to put in the time and effort. Even if you have a learning disability, you can learn. You might need special help, but you can definitely do it.
It is very important that you do all of the lessons in order. Each lesson builds upon the next, so don't begin a new lesson until you have completed all previous lessons. Because each lesson builds on the next, please do not post more than two lessons (or one lesson and one revision) per day. This will give me time to make sure you are on the right track before you go on to new lessons.
To complete this course, finish all of the lessons in the list below. Then do the 7 short lessons on essay writing.
